This is a commercial amenity space refurbishment project for Vice magazine headquarters in East London.
This project was led by Dejan Mrdja during his project leader role at Ben Adams Architects and he took this project from conception to completion.
Dejan designed a bespoke steel gate that formed the threshold between the amenity space and the public realm. Existing car park beyond was turned into a break-out area covered in timber decking.
The gate, formed of steel posts, comprises a sliding vehicular gate, a pivot pedestrian gate and a fixed section. The rhythm, density and shape of steel posts provides privacy and secure access, in response to the client’s brief.
