Rainbow of Desires

A set of small pavilions aiming to bring the performative techniques of the Theatre of the Oppressed to residents of the Rhodes estate in Dalston, East London. Our design concept won the public vote in Designing the Urban Commons call-out, organised by Theatrum Mundi, London. 

Rainbow of Desires concept bring together theatre in which the residents take the stage, a communal kitchen, a recording studio and a library, creating a platform for the local residents build resilience and find a voice in the face of ongoing gentrification changes in the area.
