And here is more about the show: ” Our Laughter Will Drown Your Sorrows – is the upcoming interim show of over 70 Central Saint Martins’ MA Postgrad Art students, combining the creative energy of the first year students from MA Art and Science, MA Fine Art and MA Photography. Private view on 17th March. Show is open to the public from 18 – 20th March. This showcasing event sees an eclectic mix of contemporary issues being tackled within the challenging industrial setting of the Laundry, London Fields. Areas under investigation include: Modifications of the body, our identity; Order, Chaos and Control; Seduction and Repulsion; We are what we breathe; Consumerisation, celebrity culture and excess; Where has all the ice gone? – the effect of glacial retreat and Non-spaces and the geography of memory. Challenging, thought provoking and stimulating, the students employ a wide range of mediums spanning film, sound, narrative storytelling, camera-less image making, sculpture, performance and paintings.”
